Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing multiple commercial drywall, metal framing, insulation, and/or acoustical ceiling projects from award through closeout

Construction Project Managers (PMs) control the time, cost and quality of construction projects including: coordinating the layout, framing, drywall, and finishing. PMs plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process. PMs determine the scheduling of different phases of a project based and established deadlines. PMs negotiate changes in scope with GC/CMs, architects, vendors, contractors and other workers. PMs order and coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites. Throughout a project’s lifecycle, PMs typically confer with supervisors or other managers to monitor construction progress, including project total anticipated costs within the cost report, worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes.

Principle Project Management Duties

Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
Minimizes exposure and risk by implementing and audits safety standards and quality assurance controls.
Coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of multiple projects. Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
Responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
Supervises Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents, reviews their reports, checks on any reported difficulties, and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies.
Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocated.
Reports to CM/GC's, owner, architects about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that are indicated.
Plans, implements, tracks and closeout / turnover of construction projects. Conducts project meetings.
Manages day to day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory role.
· Manages day-to-day client interactions and expectations, directly or in a supervisory role.
Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability and project costs Manages to and achieves revenue goals set for projects Generates and issues regular internal and external project reporting through company software.
Proactively identifies changes in project scope and ensures appropriate measures are taken to price and implement project changes in scope and secure necessary revenue.

The ideal candidate will process:

Strong computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Viewpoint, OST/QB, Pipedrive
Dispute resolution, financial and Job cost accounting knowledge
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
Supervisory Responsibilities: Project Team: Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Project Engineer, Project Assistant, Estimator (if requested to provide costing services)
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a construction-related field, such as building science, construction management or civil engineering, as opposed to just having industry experience. However, years of construction experience still are needed for this position and can be gained through working as an intern, craftworker, or supervisor on a construction job.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
