Home Healthcare Specialist – Full Time

Hookstown, PA

$13–$15/hour | 40 hours per week (Preferred shift: 6 AM – 6 PM, flexible)

We’re hiring a dependable and compassionate Home Healthcare Specialist for a long-term, full-time role supporting an elderly individual currently in hospice care. This is not just a job — it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s final stage of life.

You’ll be stepping into an essential position, providing both physical and emotional care in a one-on-one setting. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, patient, attentive to detail, and committed to delivering excellent personal care with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities:

Provide full personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the client’s living area
Monitor the client’s comfort and report any changes in condition
Offer companionship and emotional support throughout the day
Support any additional daily living needs with compassion and attentiveness

What We’re Looking For:

Prior experience in home care, hospice, or personal caregiving preferred
Strong reliability and punctuality — someone who can be counted on consistently
Gentle and patient communication skills, with a calm and caring demeanor
Ability to maintain professionalism while building trust with both the patient and family
Flexibility with hours and willingness to work longer shifts if needed
Must be able to pass a background check and provide professional references

Requirements:

Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation
Home is not near any public transportation
Applicants who have not lived in the state of PA for the last 2 years will be required to also have and FBI clearances done. A Child Abuse Cleanance is also required for any clients where a child lives in the home.-
Also required is one of the following: two step TB test, a TB chest x-ray or a QuantiFERON gold TB blood test.

Schedule:

Full-time: 40 hours/week
Preferred shifts: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Flexible scheduling available depending on your availability and client needs
