NFI North Beacon House has an open position for an Ed Tech III Teacher’s Aide. This high staff intensive residential program in Buxton, ME serves adolescents ages 13-18 and operates a Special Purpose Private School to meet their educational needs. Small classroom sizes typically range from 4-6 students with 1 Teacher and 1 Teacher Aide per room.
The Ed Tech III/Teacher’s Aide is responsible for classroom instructional and behavioral support including assisting students with lesson assignments, planning, preparing teaching aids and coordinating instructional efforts with the school team and assisting students prepare for the start of the school day.
Candidates must have a minimum 90 college credit hours to be Certified as an ED Tech III/(BHP). Certification can be acquired through employment with us! Strong organizational and documentation skills are necessary; ability to instruct, assume and delegate responsibilities and exercise sound judgment is critical.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, energetic and have the desire to be part of a team of professionals. This is a fulltime benefit eligible position that operates on a 200-day calendar in addition to a required extended six-week summer school schedule.
