Full Job Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Duffy Health Center operates as a Federally Designated Healthcare for the Homeless Program, which mandates that a majority of the patients served are either currently experiencing or have recently encountered homelessness or other forms of housing instability. The staff members are deeply committed to the mission of the organization, with several individuals possessing pertinent lived experiences that inform their work.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Pharmacy Program Coordinator is a strategic, program-level role responsible for overseeing and optimizing pharmacy-related operations across the organization. This position focuses on 340B program integrity and revenue optimization, pharmacy quality management, medication access, prior authorization oversight, data analysis, vendor and TPA management, and risk monitoring. The role serves as a critical bridge between clinical operations, finance, compliance, and population health, ensuring pharmacy services improve patient outcomes while protecting and maximizing organizational revenue.

Pay transparecy salary range $60,000-$68,000. The posted range represents the full earning potential for the role over time, not the typical starting or hiring rate. Starting pay is determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market alignment. The top of the range reflects compensation that employees may reach through demonstrated performance, increased responsibilities, and tenure in the role. This structure allows us to support growth and advancement while maintaining fairness and consistency across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

o Manage day-to-day 340B program operations, including eligibility, split billing, and replenishment accuracy

o Ensure compliance with all HRSA 340B regulations and audit readiness requirements o Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to the 340B program o Identify opportunities to optimize 340B savings and expand compliant program utilization

o Serve as primary liaison for 340B TPA and contract pharmacy vendors o Monitor TPA data integrity, claim capture rates, and error resolution o Conduct regular performance reviews with pharmacy and OSV partners o Escalate and resolve vendor-related operational or compliance issues o Analyze pharmacy and 340B financial performance to identify revenue leakage and missed opportunities

o Collaborate with finance to reconcile pharmacy revenue and 340B savings

o Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting related to pharmacy programs

o Develop and maintain pharmacy dashboards and performance reports

o Track metrics related to 340B capture rate, prior authorizations, medication access, and adherence

o Present actionable insights to clinical, finance, and executive leadership

o Oversee end-to-end prior authorization workflows o Monitor approval rates, denial trends, and turnaround times

o Partner with providers to reduce denials and delays in medication access

o Develop and monitor pharmacy-related quality and patient safety metrics o Participate in quality improvement initiatives and root cause analyses o Ensure pharmacy workflows align with organizational quality standards

o Identify and monitor pharmacy-related operational, financial, and regulatory risks o Maintain audit readiness for HRSA, payer, and internal compliance reviews o Implement corrective action plans for identified risks

o Monitor opioid prescribing patterns and identify high-risk cases o Support safe prescribing practices and compliance with opioid guidelines o Collaborate with behavioral health and OBAT/MAT programs

o Oversee performance and compliance of on-site and contract pharmacy vendors o Monitor prescription capture, fill rates, and patient access barriers o Ensure OSV operations align with 340B strategy and revenue goals

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education & Experience:

Pharmacy Technician license or equivalent relevant experience

Three or more years of experience in pharmacy operations, preferably in an FQHC or ambulatory care setting

Experience with 340B programs, prior authorizations, and pharmacy data analysis

o Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

o Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems o Experience managing TPAs or contract pharmacy networks

Work Environment

Primarily office-based within a community health center setting, opportunities for remote work depending on organizational policies, and regular interaction with both clinical and administrative staff.

Physical Requirements o Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. o Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds.

o Ability to travel to remote sites and attend offsite meetings as needed
