Full Job Description

Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Test Engineer to join their team. As a Test Engineer, you will be part of the Product Software QA Team supporting vehicle testing and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Test Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $37/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

Develop, maintain, and expand automation test cases using Playwright to improve regression testing coverage.
Perform manual testing for Baseline features, releases, hotfixes, and pre-merge validations to ensure high-quality software releases.
Conduct vehicle mission testing, evaluate workflows from an operations perspective, and generate detailed reports on mission outcomes.
Support vehicle troubleshooting workflows, identify, reproduce, and verify defects across development, staging, and production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA leads, and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and feature validation.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
1–3 years of experience as a QA/Test Engineer with proven skills in testing complex applications.
Strong experience with testing and tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and communication protocols including UDS, CAN, and Ethernet.
Familiarity with autonomous vehicle systems, including LiDAR, radar, cameras, and EV powertrain components.
