PACKAGING ASSOCIATE
We are looking for a hard-working, high-performing Packaging Associate to join our growing team.
Let's be upfront about what this job is and what we expect.
This is a fast-paced, physical, repetitive job. Your primary job will generally be the same every day, and you will spend much of your day performing the same tasks over and over. The right person likes repetition, physical work, staying busy, and becoming faster and more efficient while still doing the job correctly.
If you get bored doing the same thing, prefer a slow pace, don't enjoy physical work, or need someone constantly telling you what to do, this probably isn't the job for you.
WE ONLY HAVE ROOM FOR HIGH PERFORMERS
We're not looking for someone with a pulse. We're going to be picky about who we hire.
If you're looking to punch the clock, put in your hours, collect an hourly wage, and go home, don't bother applying.
We don't have room for people who do the bare minimum. We want people who like to work, accomplish things, and take pride in being productive.
YOU CONTROL WHAT YOU EARN
Your pay is primarily determined by your productivity.
Simply put: the more productive you are, the more you can earn. To a large extent, you choose how much you want to make by choosing how productive you want to be.
We reward productivity, accuracy, dependability, and results - not simply being present. As you learn your job, become more efficient, and increase your output, your earning potential increases.
Speed alone isn't enough. Your work must still meet our quality standards. A high performer produces a lot of GOOD work consistently.
If your attitude is, "If I work harder, get better, and produce more, I should make more," you'll probably like the way we operate.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Package, label, box, and prepare products accurately and efficiently
- Perform repetitive packaging and production tasks throughout the day
- Maintain a fast and consistent work pace
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail during repetitive work
- Stand and remain physically active throughout your shift
- Regularly lift, carry, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements
- Keep your work area clean and organized
- Clean up after yourself - your mess is your responsibility
- Work independently without constant supervision
- Work as part of a small team
- Pitch in and help wherever needed
- Adapt when production needs and priorities change
HIT A HOME RUN AT YOUR JOB - THEN HELP THE TEAM
Most employees have a specific primary responsibility, and we expect you to hit a home run at your own job. Learn it, master it, become efficient at it, maintain quality, and take ownership of your results.
But nobody operates on an island. Our entire facility functions as one big team.
When your area is under control and someone else needs help, we expect you to pitch in. That might mean packaging another product, cleaning, moving boxes, preparing an order, or handling whatever reasonable task needs to be done.
"That's not my job" is not an attitude that works here.
Excel at your own job, then help the team succeed.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IS #1
Everything we do ultimately comes back to our customers.
Getting orders produced correctly and on time matters. Packaging them properly matters. Keeping the facility organized matters. Helping a coworker when they're falling behind matters.
Customer experience is our #1 priority, and every employee plays a part in delivering it.
ATTENDANCE ISN'T OPTIONAL
We expect you to show up.
We're a small team. When one person doesn't show up, everyone else picks up the slack, production suffers, and ultimately our customers are affected.
Legitimate emergencies happen. But frequent call-ins, constantly needing days off, arriving late, leaving early, or treating your schedule as optional will not work here.
Being a high performer isn't just about how fast you work when you're here. Dependability is part of performance.
If you have a history of attendance problems, please don't apply.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR STABILITY
We're not interested in constantly hiring and retraining people.
We want applicants with a good work history who have demonstrated that they can stay with an employer. If your work history is a string of jobs lasting a few months at a time, this probably isn't the position for you.
We're looking for someone who wants a steady, consistent job, wants to become great at what they do, and wants to stick around.
THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You should be someone who:
- Likes to work hard and stay busy
- Is a high performer
- Likes repetitive, physical, hands-on work
- Takes pride in being productive
- Wants to become faster and more efficient
- Works quickly without sacrificing accuracy
- Pays attention to details
- Can stay focused during repetitive work
- Doesn't need constant supervision or motivation
- Takes responsibility for your work and cleans up after yourself
- Helps coworkers when needed
- Works independently and as part of a small team
- Shows up consistently and on time
- Has demonstrated stability in previous employment
- Is flexible with work hours
- Adapts when production needs change
- Understands that taking care of the customer comes first
THIS ISN'T A BIG CORPORATE GIG
We're a small business. The owner will know you by your first name.
When you work hard, people notice. When you become more productive, people notice. When you step up and help, people notice.
And when you don't pull your weight, people notice that too.
There isn't a giant organization to disappear into. We're a small group working together to get the job done and take care of our customers.
Every person matters.
WE'RE GROWING - GROW WITH US
We're growing, evolving, changing, and constantly looking for ways to get better.
While your primary job may be repetitive and consistent, the company around you won't be.
We're always improving our products, processes, equipment, efficiency, and customer experience. We need people who can adapt and, more importantly, WANT to be part of our journey.
We're not just filling today's opening. We want people who can become valuable long-term members of our team.
For the right people, there is room to grow as the company grows. Employees who perform, take ownership, learn, adapt, and demonstrate they can handle more responsibility will have opportunities to take on more as those opportunities develop.
As we grow, we want our best people growing with us.
BOTTOM LINE
This job isn't for everyone. We're going to be picky.
We're looking for people who are dependable, productive, physically hardworking, comfortable with repetition, accurate, self-motivated, team-oriented, adaptable, and interested in staying for the long term.
If you're looking to punch a clock, do the minimum, bounce to another job in six months, or call in whenever you don't feel like working, please save both of us the time and don't apply.
But if you like to work, like being productive, want significant control over how much you earn, value steady employment, and want to be part of a growing small business where your contribution is noticed and matters, we want to talk to you.
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
