Samoco Industries is both an electronics manufacturer and a distributor of wire and supplies. We are expanding our online and local wire distribution business, as well as our manufacturing business.
We have an immediate opening for a mechanically inclined, hands-on person to work in our wire and supply business and also in our manufacturing and R&D business.

Position Description:
- Building prototype and production circuit boards.
- Assembling wire harnesses – solder, crimp, etc.
- Filling and shipping customer orders for our online customers.
- Print and process online orders accurately and efficiently by selecting the most cost efficient packaging.
- Stock stocking wire bins with electrical wire, heat shrink tubing, and other supplies.
- Assembling wire harness kits with various components.
- Recording inventory levels as necessary for adjusting the automated system.
Position Requirements:
- Must be self-motivated, hard working
- Must NOT be someone that can’t put their phone down – If you are one of those with the constant need to be texting friends or checking your FaceBook status, please do not apply!! We've been there; don’t want more.
- Must be able to process orders accurately.
- Be able to switch from to task
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Experience utilizing small hand tools and soldering equipment is a plus
- Ability to work accurately and quickly under operational deadlines
- 20/20 vision (corrected is acceptable) with ability to see small features, distinguish colors.
- Applicants will need to pass a background check as well as a drug test.
The wide range of products we work on requires someone versatile with the ability to switch from one task to another quickly. Ability to utilize applicable wire processing equipment and hand tools to cut / strip / terminate wires is a must.
Ideal candidate will have the ability to properly recognize common components and tools such as connectors, pins, splices, lacing, heat shrink, strippers, crimpers, etc. and use as specified in assembly documentation.
We have a lot of fun here and always have interesting projects going on. Such as wiring exotic vehicles for car shows, building unique wire harnesses for specialty orders, or small and interesting machines and fixtures for various industries. It is a great place to learn about electro-mechanical systems, mechanisms and machines.
