Qualifications:
- 1. MCAO Assessor (Michigan Certified Assessing Officer) State Certification required or must have the ability to obtain.
- 2. Considerable knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures regarding the appraisal of real and personal property.
- 3. Reasonable knowledge of local and State law, rules, and regulations governing the assessment of real and personal property and the equalization of such assessments.
- 4. Reasonable knowledge of the geographic and economic structure of the County.
- 5. Ability to exercise good judgment in determining property values.
- 6. Ability to prepare detailed records and reports regarding assessment and other data.
- 7. Possession of a valid Michigan Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
- 8. The ability to walk, crawl, climb and maneuver where physical mobility is required.
