Full Job Description

The HR Generalist serves as the primary human resources presence at Crescent Meats, owning day-to-day HR operations and stewarding the people systems already in place — onboarding, training tracks, accountability frameworks, SOP libraries, and culture/engagement measurement. This role ensures consistent execution of existing programs while providing hands-on support for hiring, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance across a growing production and administrative workforce. As Crescent Meats scales toward and beyond 65 employees, the HR Manager will help identify where additional structure, staffing, or process refinement is needed.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3–5+ years of progressive HR generalist or HR management experience, ideally in a manufacturing,production, or food industry environment.
Working knowledge of federal and state employment law (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, OSHA).
Experience administering employee benefits programs and familiarity with ACA-compliant health benefitstructures.
Comfort operating within and maintaining structured HR systems (onboarding frameworks, training tracks, performance accountability models) rather than building from a blank page.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear policies, announcements, and employee-facing documentation.
Experience with HRIS and/or LMS platforms; familiarity with platforms such as Trainual, Bridge, or iSpring is a plus.

Perferred Qualifications

PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent HR certification.
Prior experience in a unionized or shift-based production environment.
Familiarity with HACCP, USDA, or GMP personnel and training documentation requirements.

Compensation

Salary will be based on full-time or part-time status, education, and experience.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
