Assembler (Temp to Hire) - Compensation is depending on experience

FAMCO is looking for a full-time Temp to Hire Assembler Associate who will make a difference in our daily operations. An Assembler Associate operates fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punches that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures, performing the duties outlined below. This is a full-time position, with overtime as business needs require. The role begins as temp-to-hire, with the opportunity to convert to a permanent FAMCO position, and to grow from Level 1 through Level 3 as you build skills across production.
Schedule:
- Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00AM – 2:30PM
- Swing Shift: Monday – Friday, 12:00PM – 8:30PM
- Breaks provided every 2 hours
- May be asked to switch tasks or stations approximately every 2 hours as needed
- Overtime as business needs require
Safety:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs processes to complete assembly and subassembly, using hand tools, presses, power tools, and fastening machines.
- Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Conduct changes over equipment when necessary.
- Maintains the work area and equipment clean and orderly.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department of Team Leader.
- Performs related duties assigned by supervision.
- Consistently meets daily and weekly production and quality goals set by your supervisor
- Participates in cross-training across different machines and assembly processes as assigned

- Communicates proactively with your Team Leader or supervisor about workflow, delays, or safety concerns
- Responds professionally to feedback and coaching from supervisors and coworkers

Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually normal.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
