Job Summary

Clark Meyers PC — a law firm with offices in Idaho & California — seeks an Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of experience in Civil Law practice including business transactions, commercial real estate, general business law, contracts and litigation for our clients. We serve as outside general counsel to growth-stage companies with facilities in Idaho, California, Nevada, Oregon, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Washington.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a diverse range of legal practice areas, including general litigation, complex litigation, contracts, corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, construction defect, personal injury, and company collections.

The position is for motivated legal professionals eager to develop their expertise across multiple disciplines while supporting clients through complex legal challenges. There is opportunity for growth in this position.

Ideal candidate holds an active bar license and brings an energetic and positive work attitude .

Duties

Civil Litigation: Represent clients in court depositions, hearings, and negotiations to advocate effectively on their behalf
Provide expert legal counsel to clients on issues related to estate planning, employment law, personal injury claims, and other specialties listed above
Draft and review legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and client correspondence with precision and clarityConduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across various practice areas
Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case strategies, and assisting with courtroom procedures
Provide expert legal counsel to clients on issues related to estate planning, employment law, personal injury claims, and other specialties listed above
Manage multiple cases efficiently through comprehensive legal case management systems
Assist in procedural law compliance and statutory legal research to ensure adherence to jurisdictional requirementsRequirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and current admission to the state bar or eligibility for admission within a specified timeframe
Proven experience or internship in law office settings demonstrating familiarity with litigation processes and case management
Strong knowledge of procedural law and the ability to navigate complex legal frameworks across multiple practice areas
Excellent research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for comprehensive case analysis
Exceptional writing skills for drafting pleadings, motions, contracts, and client communications
Effective negotiation skills with the ability to advocate confidently on behalf of clients during settlement discussions or trial proceedings
Demonstrated ability to handle court depositions and trial preparation with professionalism and attention to detail
Experience in employment law cases or personal injury claims is highly desirable but not mandatory
Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and deadlines
