Full Job Description

InsITe is a West Michigan strategic technology partner for manufacturers and distributors. We do three things for our clients: managed IT and security, custom application development, and smart manufacturing work that connects the plant floor to the business. We are based in Zeeland and most of our clients are within a short drive.

This is a new-business role. You will not inherit a book. You will build one.

What you'll actually do

Find and win new manufacturing and distribution clients in West Michigan, from first conversation to signed agreement. That means territory planning, direct outreach, plant tours, industry events, and the kind of relationship building that happens over eighteen months rather than eighteen days. Our sales cycles are long because the decisions are real ones. Companies do not switch IT partners casually.

You will run discovery yourself. When a prospect describes a problem with their ERP integration, their aging network, or a line that keeps going down, you need to hear the business problem underneath it and know which of our teams to bring in. You will not be expected to have the technical answer. You will be expected to ask the right next question and to bring in the engineer or developer who does.

Once a client signs, you hand off to an Advisor who owns the ongoing relationship. Your job is the next one.

What success looks like

New logos closed, pipeline built and accurately forecast in HubSpot, and a presence in the West Michigan manufacturing community where people know who to call. We will set specific first-year targets with you, not at you.

Who we're looking for

Three or more years selling B2B services with a real quota, and evidence you can open doors cold. You are comfortable walking a plant floor and comfortable in a boardroom. You are organized enough that your pipeline is accurate without anyone asking. Manufacturing or industrial experience is a strong plus. IT services experience is a plus. Neither is required if you can sell complex services to operations and executive buyers.

You should want a role where you are measured on outcomes and left alone to produce them.

Compensation

Base salary plus uncapped commission. First-year on-target earnings of $120,000 to $200,000, with top performance well beyond that. Mileage reimbursement.
