Full Job Description

Please note: This is not a remote role or a call-in helpdesk position.

We are looking for a reliable IT Intern to join our team. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support within our manufacturing facility. You will ensure our systems, hardware, and applications run smoothly.

You will work directly on-site alongside our IT Manager to learn and grow your skills. We are an aerospace manufacturer which means we have strict cybersecurity and security requirements to meet for our customers. In this role, you will get unique experience supporting the computers and networking infrastructure that run around our CNC machines. This position is perfect for someone looking to build a career in core infrastructure, systems, and networking.

Preferred Education: Candidates who have completed some college or are currently enrolled in IT courses and want to learn more.
Target Majors: If you are pursuing a degree, we prefer majors like Computer Information Technology (CIT).
Career Goals: We want candidates who are seeking a career path in System Administration, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Server Administration.
What This Role Is Not: We are not looking for Computer Science majors, computer programmers, or Data Analysts.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day hands-on technical support for end users, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network components.
Troubleshoot hardware and network issues directly on the production floor and in the office.
Manage and resolve internal helpdesk tickets.
Maintain strict adherence to facility security and compliance protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

Current enrollment or partial completion of a relevant IT degree or certification program.
Basic understanding of networking concepts, server environments, and hardware troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills and a desire to help people resolve technical issues.
A cybersecurity-minded approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work on-site at our facility 3 days a week.
Must be eligible to work with sensitive, controlled data according to ITAR policy and regulations.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
