Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment, including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Support the inspection and servicing of machinery using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
- Learn to operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems.
- Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Participate in safety procedures related to high voltage, low voltage, and hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Support the use of field service tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters for electrical analysis.
- Assist with welding tasks, including <LOCATION> welding techniques, and support mechanical repairs involving welding and fabrication.
- Contribute to the upkeep of HVAC/R systems, including basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
- Support the operation of equipment such as scissor lifts during maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze machinery performance issues and suggest improvements.
Experience
- Previous industrial mechanic or industrial electrician experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with manufacturing facility operations and industrial maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical systems used in manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, HVAC/R systems, or high voltage electrical systems is a plus.
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing equipment faults using testing tools like ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or automation controls is advantageous.
- Military background with technical training related to maintenance or electronics is valued.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively follow instructions and document work performed.
- A proactive attitude towards customer service within a field service context when interacting with internal teams or external vendors.
