Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Mill Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up CNC milling machines to produce precision aerospace components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in machining tools, blueprint reading, and CNC programming will be essential in delivering high-quality parts efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment, including CNC multi-axis milling machines and related tooling. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically knowledgeable, and passionate about precision machining.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling machines using CAD/CAM software and G-code programming to produce complex parts with high precision.
Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and specifications.
Perform machine calibration, tooling changes, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments for quality control.
Read and analyze blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing instructions to ensure parts meet specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate manual machining tools such as grinders, lathes, hand tools, and power tools as needed.
Troubleshoot machining issues, perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances, and document production activities accurately.

Requirements

Proven experience operating CNC milling machines with knowledge of CNC G-code programming (preferably Fanuc or similar controls).
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, GD&T principles, and measurement techniques.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for part design review; experience with CAM programming is a plus.
Mechanical knowledge of machining tools including grinders, lathe machines, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measurement instruments.
Ability to perform machine setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting independently.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as metal machining, plastics injection molding support is advantageous.
Basic math skills for measurement conversions and tolerance calculations; experience with M-code is beneficial.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials with the use of forklifts or hand tools; willingness to work in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes lean manufacturing principles.
