Seasoned Insurance Professional – Commercial Insurance

Aviation Technology Insurance Services, Inc. (ATIS)
Sausalito, CA | optional Hybrid/Remote Flexibility
Salary: $75,000–$125,000 + Benefits & 401(k)

About ATIS

Aviation Technology Insurance Services is a growing independent insurance agency built by a team with more than 25 years of industry experience.

We are building a modern boutique specialized agency focused on strong client relationships, insurance expertise, technology, and efficiency. We are looking for someone who wants to move beyond the rigid structure of a large corporate environment and have a meaningful role in building and growing a company.

The Role

We are seeking a Seasoned Insurance Professional to work closely with our Executive Account Manager and leadership team.

As a growing company, titles do not define the boundaries of the job. Responsibilities will range from day-to-day account servicing and administrative work to managing client relationships, participating in renewals, improving processes, and taking increasing ownership of accounts.

Support and education will allow the candidate to evolve as the company grows, providing an opportunity for increased responsibility and commensurate pay/bonus.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and service commercial insurance accounts.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Prepare applications, submissions, proposals, certificates, endorsements, policies, invoices, and other insurance documentation.
Manage renewals and follow up on payments, signatures, subjectivities, and outstanding information.
Communicate with clients, underwriters, carriers, wholesalers, and other business partners.
Review policies, quotes, and endorsements for accuracy and coverage.
Assist with renewal strategy, marketing, coverage comparisons, and client presentations.
Help develop and improve agency processes and workflows.
Use AI, automation, and other technology tools to increase efficiency and improve client service.
Take on broader responsibilities as the agency grows.

What We're Looking For

Having experience as an insurance professional is required, aviation experience is not. We value experience, but we hire for work ethic, initiative, and accountability first.

The right person takes ownership, follows through, pays attention to details, communicates well, and is willing to handle both basic tasks and significant responsibilities.

Required:

Active P&C insurance license with commercial insurance experience.
Strong organizational, communication, and client-service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to recalibrate based on daily business needs
Willingness to embrace AI and technology to work more effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $75,000–$125,000, depending on experience and capabilities.

ATIS offers an excellent benefits package comparable to larger corporate employers, including comprehensive health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and additional employee benefits.

Our preference is for this position to work from our Sausalito office, particularly while we are building the company. Hybrid or remote arrangements may be available for the right candidate and circumstances.
