Job Overview

The Town of Paradise is seeking an Economic Development Coordinator. Under general supervision:

Assists with planning, organizing, promoting, and implementing community events, business promotions, and economic activation activities intended to support commerce and community engagement.
Supports implementation of long-term economic development initiatives and strategic plans focused on business attraction, downtown revitalization, tourism, workforce development, and community identity.
Assists with preparation of grant applications, reports, presentations, promotional materials, marketing campaigns, and informational content related to economic development and recovery initiatives.
Supports existing businesses by responding to inquires, identifying resources, assisting with problem solving, and coordinating with Town departments and outside agencies to facilitate business retention and expansion.
Coordinates downtown activation projects, including temporary and semi-permanent business activation efforts, food truck and vendor coordination, placemaking projects, beautification efforts, pop-up events, and related economic recovery initiatives.
Acts as the Town’s representative and liaison on relevant topics, including responding to questions and comments from the public in a courteous and timely manner and collaborating with involved parties to reach resolutions on identified issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
