Full Job Description

Overview

Join our compassionate team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Nurse Aide, or Caregiver in a vibrant residential care facility dedicated to providing exceptional care for the elderly. In this vital role, you will be the frontline supporter of residents’ daily needs, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. Your energetic and empathetic approach will help foster a warm, welcoming environment where seniors feel valued and cared for. Responsibilities

Personal Care: Assist residents with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
Mobility Assistance: Safely perform transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices (e.g., Hoyer lifts); assist with repositioning to prevent pressure sores.
Nutritional Support: Assist with meal service and provide feeding assistance as needed; monitor and record fluid intake and output.
Vital Signs: Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure under the direction of the licensed nursing staff.
Facility Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents, including light housekeeping and linen changes in patient rooms.
Observation: Closely monitor residents for any changes in skin integrity, mood, or physical status and immediately alert the charge nurse.
Documentation: Record daily care activities and observations accurately in our digital tracking systems.

Requirements

Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Nurse Aide, or equivalent credential recognized by state law
Prior experience in long-term care facilities such as assisted living communities, nursing homes, or hospital settings preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS) certification required
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is highly desirable
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Caring Data for accurate medical documentation
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate attitude towards elderly residents and their families
Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of empathy.
Reliability and punctuality are essential for our 24-hour care model.
Ability to follow complex care instructions and safety protocols (Title 22).

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.

Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift.
