Venture Dynamics is actively seeking Pipe Welders for the Portland OR, Vigor Shipyard.
PAY IS $33.00/HR, and $150 PER DIEM PER DAYS WORKED, FOR QUALIFIED TRAVELERS.
Ideal candidates will be able to pass the following test: CuNi-IR test. Copper Nickel test.
Contract Duration: Starts ASAP, Long Term
DAY AND SWING SHIFTS AVAILABLE.
Position Overview:
This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional to engage in Pipe Welding tasks, ensuring excellence in every aspect of the job.
Key Requirements:
Completion of Marine OSHA 10 training is mandatory.
Citizenship- U.S Citizen with proof (Enhanced Driver License/ID or Real ID along with Birth Certificate or U.S Passport).
Certifications- Maritime OSHA 10 certification.
Experience- Previous shipyard experience required.
Working Hours- 40-60 hours per week.
Scheduling:
Diverse shifts including 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts.
Monday through Friday with overtime, and weekends as requested by client.
Job Description:
Venture Dynamics is seeking skilled Pipe Welders to join our team, specializing in NAVSEA welding projects within shipyards.
The ideal candidate will be able to pass the following tests: CuNi-IR test. Copper Nickel test.
Experience in Pipe Welding on Navy Vessels is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components in shipyard environments.
- Read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.
- Ensure all welding tasks meet or exceed quality control standards and are ready for inspection.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Ability to pass NAVSEA Pipe Welding certification tests.
- Strong ability to work from blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in shipyard environments.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Familiarity with welding inspection and quality assurance is beneficial.
