NOW HIRING: EXPERIENCED SEAMSTRESS / ALTERATIONS SPECIALIST

Established local dry cleaner is looking for an experienced and dependable seamstress, tailor or alterations specialist.
The right candidate should be able to work independently, complete high-quality alterations and communicate clearly about what can or cannot be done to a garment.
Experience should include:
- Hemming pants, jeans, skirts and dresses
- Shortening original hems on jeans
- Taking in or letting out pants and waistbands
- Altering dresses, skirts and blouses
- Men’s and women’s suit alterations
- Jacket and sleeve alterations
- Replacing or repairing zippers
- Repairing seams, tears, buttons and linings
- Working with different fabrics and garment constructions
- Measuring, pinning and preparing garments accurately
Experience with formalwear, bridalwear, or complicated alterations is a plus but not required.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has professional alteration or tailoring experience
- Can complete common alterations independently
- Produces clean, consistent and professional work
- Is honest about turnaround times and difficult alterations
- Is dependable and organized
- Is experienced but also willing to learn our shop’s procedures
- Can preferably perform the work inside our Westlake Village location
Compensation will depend on experience, speed, quality and the types of alterations the applicant can perform.

Tintorería establecida busca costurera, sastre o especialista en alteraciones con experiencia profesional.
La persona debe poder trabajar independientemente, entregar trabajo de buena calidad y explicar claramente qué tipo de arreglo se puede realizar en cada prenda.
Debe tener experiencia con:
- Bastillas de pantalones, jeans, faldas y vestidos
- Bastilla original de jeans
- Ajustar o ampliar pantalones y cinturas
- Ajustar vestidos, faldas y blusas
- Alteraciones de trajes para hombre y mujer
- Arreglos de sacos, chaquetas y mangas
- Cambiar o reparar cierres
- Reparar costuras, roturas, botones y forros
- Trabajar con diferentes telas y tipos de prendas
- Medir y colocar alfileres correctamente
Experiencia con vestidos formales, vestidos de novia, cuero o alteraciones complicadas es una ventaja, pero no es obligatoria.
Buscamos una persona que:
- Tenga experiencia profesional en costura o alteraciones
- Pueda hacer los arreglos comunes sin supervisión constante
- Entregue trabajo limpio, consistente y profesional
- Sea responsable, organizada y puntual
- Sea honesta sobre el tiempo necesario y la dificultad del trabajo
- Tenga experiencia, pero también disposición para aprender nuestros procedimientos
- Preferiblemente pueda trabajar dentro de nuestra ubicación en Westlake Village
