Join Our Digital Marketing Team

West County Net is seeking a hands-on SEO/AEO/Analyst to improve client visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered search experiences.

You will develop sustainable organic search strategies, identify technical and content opportunities, and collaborate with our developers and content specialists to turn recommendations into measurable improvements.

This role is ideal for an SEO professional who understands established search practices and is excited to apply those skills to conversational search, AI-generated answers, and large language model–powered discovery.

SEO Strategy and Optimization

Develop and execute SEO strategies based on client goals, search intent, keyword research, competitor analysis, and performance data.
Conduct technical and on-page SEO audits.
Identify and prioritize issues involving crawlability, indexing, site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicalization, structured data, page speed, and Core Web Vitals.
Work with developers to implement and verify technical SEO improvements.
Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, website copy, and landing pages.
Develop keyword and content strategies that support visibility, conversions, and lead generation.
Monitor organic traffic, rankings, conversions, and search visibility.
Support local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization when appropriate.

AEO and GEO

Optimize content for featured snippets, conversational queries, AI-generated answers, and generative search experiences.
Research the questions, topics, entities, and language customers use throughout their buying journey.
Structure content so that important information is clear, accurate, authoritative, and easy for search and AI systems to understand.
Recommend and help implement relevant schema markup and structured data.
Collaborate with content specialists to create original, useful, well-supported content.
Write and create original, useful, well-supported content.
Strengthen client websites through topical authority, clear entity relationships, trustworthy sourcing, and consistent brand information.
Evaluate client visibility within relevant AI search and answer platforms.
Monitor developments in AEO and GEO while testing practical strategies and avoiding unsupported claims or short-lived tactics.

Analytics, Reporting, and Collaboration

Use Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Semrush, Microsoft Clarity, AWR Cloud and related tools to monitor performance.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities and explain changes in performance.
Prepare client reports with meaningful insights, priorities, and recommended next steps.
Present SEO strategies and results to clients and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with developers, designers, account managers, and content specialists.
Manage multiple client projects, deadlines, and priorities.
Stay current with search algorithm updates, AI search developments, and SEO best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Three or more years of hands-on SEO experience.
A demonstrated record of improving organic visibility, qualified traffic, conversions, or lead generation.
Strong knowledge of keyword research, search intent, on-page SEO, content optimization, and competitor analysis.
Practical technical SEO experience, including crawling, indexing, structured data, internal linking, page speed, and site architecture.
Proficiency with Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console.
Experience with Semrush, Screaming Frog, Microsoft Clarity, Looker Studio, or similar tools.
Understanding of AEO and GEO principles and how established SEO practices apply to AI-powered discovery.
Ability to translate analytics and audit findings into prioritized recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts in clear business language.
Curiosity, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Dependability, Team Player.

Helpful, but Not Required

Experience working in a digital agency.
Experience with WordPress or another content management system.
Familiarity with local SEO and Google Business Profile.
Experience implementing schema markup.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or server response codes.
Experience creating content briefs or working with writers.
Familiarity with AI search visibility measurement and monitoring tools.
