Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Escrow Assistant and become a vital part of the mortgage and real estate transaction process! In this energetic role, you will support escrow officers by managing essential documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and facilitating smooth loan closings. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help deliver exceptional service to clients and uphold the integrity of every transaction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in financial services, mortgage processing, and escrow operations within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist escrow officers with preparing, reviewing, and organizing escrow documents, contracts, and loan files
Verify borrower information, including credit analysis and loan eligibility details, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Coordinate with lenders, title companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication throughout the escrow process
Ensure compliance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), Fair Housing regulations, and other relevant federal and state laws
Support loan origination activities by gathering necessary documentation for underwriting and loan processing
Conduct basic math calculations related to escrow amounts, payments, and prorations with precision using 10-key typing skills
Maintain meticulous records of all transactions, including inbound/outbound correspondence, inspection reports, and audit logs

Requirements

Previous experience in mortgage servicing, loan processing, or banking is highly preferred
Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage regulations such as TILA is a plus
Familiarity with escrow processes, loan origination systems, and credit analysis techniques
Strong understanding of Fair Housing laws and compliance standards within financial services
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for handling contracts and legal documents
Ability to perform basic math accurately and efficiently using 10-key typing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with mortgage or banking software systems
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external partners
