Compensation: $18.90 plus tips

Acclaimed New York City-based restaurant group Quality Branded (Don Angie, Bad Roman, Quality Meats) comes to Los Angeles with the second location of a smash success Midtown Manhattan restaurant concept. Quality Branded has sustained success in Manhattan and Denver over the past 20+ years; restaurateur Michael Stillman and the team are thrilled to add a buzzy, maximalist restaurant to the lively Beverly Hills neighborhood.

Bad Roman – LA is seeking a Head Sommelier to join our opening team! Our teams must embrace a guest first approach to service, thrive in a high energy, fast paced environment and take great pride in the space they work in, while also selling wine in a fine dining setting. The position includes overseeing the guest wine experience in the restaurant while possessing a good sense of timing, salesmanship, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, non-stop environment.

Candidate must have:

2+ years’ experience in high volume restaurants
1+ years’ experience as a Sommelier or Captain
Elevated wine knowledge
Regional Wine Knowledge: Italy/USA
High volume experience in a fast paced, high-energy environment
Stable work history showing progressive growth
Passion for restaurants and hospitality and a positive, flexible, hard-working mindset.
May be assigned tables or service section as direct tipped employee or provide wine service to guests as indirectly tipped employee.

Quality Branded is a Midtown-based restaurant group in New York City, founded by Michael Stillman in 2006. The group is comprised of Midtown staples and fixtures in the city’s dining landscape: Smith & Wollensky NYC, Quality Meats, Quality Italian, Quality Bistro, Don Angie, Zou Zou’s & Chez Zou, Bad Roman, San Sabino, Twin Tails, and Limusina. Quality Branded is known for its buzzy, energetic spaces and warm hospitality, signature dishes, and tableside flair.
