Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Quality Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This energetic position offers the opportunity to lead testing initiatives across various platforms, including mobile applications and web services, utilizing cutting-edge tools and methodologies. As a key contributor, you will champion quality assurance processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement to meet and exceed user expectations. Your expertise will help shape reliable, efficient, and scalable solutions in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Duties

Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases and test plans for mobile applications (Android and iOS), web services (RESTful APIs), and software components.
Automate testing processes using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, C#, and Bash to enhance efficiency and coverage.
Perform functional, system, regression, performance (using LoadRunner), load testing, and user acceptance testing to validate software quality across multiple platforms.
Conduct root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases; collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues using debugging tools and defect tracking systems like HP ALM or Jira.
Integrate testing workflows within CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps (TFS), and version control systems like Git or SVN to support agile development cycles.
Analyze data from MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, or PL/SQL databases to verify data integrity and support backend validation efforts.
Participate actively in requirements gathering sessions; translate business needs into detailed test cases aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
Support system integration testing involving APIs (SOAP/REST), web services, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for seamless deployment.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by implementing automation strategies for mobile testing (using Appium or similar tools) and performance testing frameworks.

Qualifications

Proven experience in software quality assurance within IT environments with a strong understanding of SDLC methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
Proficiency in test automation frameworks including Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, HP ALM or similar defect tracking tools.
Hands-on experience with mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms; familiarity with emulators/simulators is essential.
Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, Bash (Unix shell), along with experience in scripting for automation purposes.
Expertise in API testing using RESTful services; understanding of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSON is required.
Familiarity with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or JMeter; experience with system performance analysis is preferred.
Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle DB2; ability to perform complex data analysis skills using SQL queries is necessary.
Experience working within DevOps environments supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab; understanding of version control practices is essential.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis; excellent debugging capabilities are vital for troubleshooting issues efficiently.
Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders; ability to gather requirements accurately is crucial.
