Senior Electrical Engineer – Pharmaceutical Sciences Description
Our client, a leader in the development of advanced medical and scientific instrumentation, is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Research & Development team in Reno, NV. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical and electronic systems for innovative new products. You will lead key portions of product development projects from concept through commercialization while collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience designing analog and digital circuits, motor control systems, embedded electronics, and power electronics within a product development environment. Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, EMC compliance, and board-level troubleshooting is highly desired. Senior Electrical Engineer – Pharmaceutical Sciences Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for new product development projects
- Lead electrical engineering efforts from concept through production release
- Create analog and digital circuit designs, motor controls, and power electronics solutions
- Develop and integrate FPGA, CPLD, microcontroller, and embedded system technologies
- Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of prototypes and production systems
- Ensure designs meet FCC Class B EMC requirements and engineering standards
- Collaborate with PCB layout designers, manufacturing, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and test reports
- Present designs and recommendations during engineering reviews
- Provide technical support, mentorship, and troubleshooting assistance across the organization
Senior Electrical Engineer – Pharmaceutical Sciences Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field required
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in product development or R&D environments required
- Experience with analog/digital circuit design, motor controls, and motor drives required
- Experience with LTSpice, OrCAD, FPGAs, CPLDs, and microcontrollers required
- Experience with EMC testing and FCC Class B compliance required
