Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all products meet strict quality standards by conducting thorough inspections and measurements throughout the production process. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with industry regulations, uphold product integrity, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing operations in a dynamic environment committed to excellence.

Duties

Perform dimensional and visual inspections of components and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical specifications to verify product conformity.
Conduct quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and FDA regulations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Utilize vision inspection systems and other advanced measurement tools to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, documenting findings accurately for review and continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborate with production teams to address non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and improve overall quality systems.
Participate in calibration of measuring instruments such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and vision systems to maintain measurement accuracy.

Skills

Strong knowledge of ISO standards including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, along with familiarity with GMP and FDA regulations applicable to manufacturing environments.
Experience with quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes within manufacturing settings.
Proficiency in using measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), and vision inspection systems.
Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and production documentation accurately.
Excellent analysis skills for identifying root causes of defects and implementing effective solutions.
Mechanical knowledge combined with understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise measurements.
Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to perform dimensional measurements consistently.
Effective communication skills for documenting inspection results clearly and collaborating across teams.
