Boston Studio Rental — Stoughton, MA
Part-time | Evenings & Weekends Required

Boston Studio Rental is a private event venue located in Stoughton, MA hosting birthday parties, weddings, corporate events, and private functions. We are seeking a reliable and professional Part-Time Banquet Manager / Event Operations Manager to supervise events, coordinate clients, and ensure smooth operation of the facility.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in banquet service, catering, restaurants, hotels, or event venues who is looking for consistent part-time work with responsibility and independence.

This is not a staffing position. This role requires someone who can take control of the event environment, enforce venue rules, and manage events without owner involvement.

Responsibilities

Supervise events from start to finish
Remain on site for the full duration of each event
Open and close the building for scheduled functions
Ensure room setup matches the event contract and package
Coordinate house staff, cleaners, bartenders, and vendors
Act as the point of contact for clients during events
Enforce venue rules, contract terms, and closing times
Handle situations calmly and professionally
Complete event report after each function
Conduct weekly client phone calls (typically Mondays) to confirm event details
Assist with walkthroughs when needed
Quote pricing using venue brochure and approved pricing guidelines
Suggest add-ons and upgrades when appropriate
Verify inventory, damages, and closing procedures after events
Report any issues, violations, or damages to owner for review

Manager must be comfortable taking responsibility and maintaining control during events.

Schedule

Evenings and weekends for scheduled events
Weekly client calls (typically Mondays)
Walkthroughs as needed
Average 8–12 events per month

Reliability is required. Manager must be able to work independently.

Pay

$25 per hour — meetings, calls, walkthroughs
$200 per event supervised
Additional 1% performance bonus on events managed
Addtional 10% bar revenue share for events managed
Average 8–12 events per month

Opportunity for additional hours as business grows.

Requirements

Experience in hospitality, banquet, restaurant, catering, or event venue work preferred
Must be dependable and punctual
Must be comfortable supervising staff and speaking with clients
Must be comfortable enforcing rules and handling difficult situations
Must be able to work nights and weekends
Must have reliable transportation
Must be organized and able to follow written procedures
Must be comfortable working independently

We are looking for someone long-term who takes pride in running clean, professional events.
