Full Job Description

Company Overview
EMSG is a leading provider of electronic manufacturing services, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions tailored to client needs.

Overview
We are seeking a candidate with at least 3 to 5 years buying experience in electronic components, printed circuit boards and sheet metal. Knowledge of material planning and scheduling a plus. Candiate must be able to work with little supervision and be able to handle multiple tasks. Knowledge of excel is helpful.

Essential Responsibilities and duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Confer with vendors to obtain product service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule and negotiate the best possible price and service guarantee.
Develope new supplly sources where vendors are inadequate.
Estabilish account/credit and terms.
Contact vendors to find out the status of an order
Contact vendors with descrepancies with quantity and quality
Review bid proposals and negotiate with vendors to stay within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
Work closely with the receiving department to ensure proper supplies arrived.
Trace delinquent arrivals from purchase orders.

Knowledge, skills and ability requirements

Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures.
Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.
Knowledge of material work planning and methods.
Extensive knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements.

Qualifications:

Negotiating skills.
Knowledge of computer spreadsheet programs
Organizational skills for efficient office control are mandatory
Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the compamy.
Solid decision making skills.
