Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour + $3.00 per hour for each additional sibling
Are you a caring, dependable, and energetic caregiver who loves working with children? We're looking for compassionate nannies and childcare providers to support local families throughout the Sunnyvale area.
Our families have a variety of childcare needs, including recurring nanny care, after-school care, backup care, evening and weekend care, and respite care for children with special needs. Whether you're caring for infants, toddlers, school-age children, or teens, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Experience with children who have special needs, including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or other developmental or physical disabilities, is a plus—but not required. We welcome caregivers with a passion for helping children of all abilities.
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive pay of $20.00–$24.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- Provide safe, reliable, and engaging care for children of all ages
- Plan fun, age-appropriate activities including reading, arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, and creative learning
- Assist with homework, snacks, meals, and daily routines as needed
- Support children with special needs when assigned, following each family's care plan
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe play environment
- Communicate professionally with families and the scheduling team
- Ensure the safety and well-being of every child in your care
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a nanny, babysitter, childcare provider, daycare teacher, preschool teacher, camp counselor, caregiver, or in a similar childcare role preferred
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, school-age children, or teens
- Special needs experience is a plus but not required
- Volunteer or unpaid childcare experience is welcomed
- Childcare references from paid or unpaid experience
- Reliable transportation with valid insurance to travel to family homes
- Cell phone with data service for scheduling and communication
- Dependable, patient, professional, and enthusiastic
Availability
Applicants should be available for one or more of the following:
- Weekdays between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM
- Weekends between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Typical shifts are approximately 4 hours
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 35 pounds safely
- Frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, and sit on the floor
- Participate in active indoor and outdoor play
- React quickly to ensure children's safety
- Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Work Environment
This position takes place in family homes in and around Sunnyvale. Caregivers should enjoy an active, child-focused environment and be comfortable engaging children through play, learning, and everyday routines. Responsibilities include supervising children, participating in activities, and cleaning up after play and meals.
