Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. This position is perfect for someone with a passion for the food industry and a desire to lead and inspire a team.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and production activities.
Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste.
Oversee the preparation of meals for various services including catering events and banquets.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen according to health and safety regulations.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
Ensure that all food management practices align with industry standards for quality and safety.

Skills

Proven experience in the food industry with a strong background in food production.
Knowledge of catering services and banquet preparation is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and kitchen operations.
