Young Transportation is seeking skilled, safe and professional CDL Drivers with the Passenger Endorsement to join our team. As a driver based out of our location in Asheville, NC , you will provide courteous, reliable and safe transportation for a wide variety of groups. We have been a trusted transportation provider for over 80 years, and we are looking for drivers who share our commitment to excellence.
We offer part-time and full-time positions with weekly pay, and benefits are available for
employees working 30+ hours per week. Drivers can choose between local or multi-day trips based on availability and preference.
Driver earning potential up to $100k, which includes a quarterly safety bonus up to 10% of your quarterly earnings.
Key Responsibilities: CDL Motorcoach Operator with Passenger Endorsement:
- Safely operate motorcoaches and other vehicles in our diverse fleet.
- Adhere to all Federal DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and trip documentation.
- Communication with customers and other drivers.
- Trip planning, timely pickup and delivery of passengers to predetermined locations.
- Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and irregular hours.
License/Qualifications/Requirements: CDL (Commercial Driver License A or B) must have Passenger Endorsement:
- Ability to meet DOT physical qualifications and pass a pre-employment drug test on the first attempt.
- Basic understanding of Federal DOT regulations.
- Verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience. We require either two years commercial driving experience or one year of experience with a copy of your entry level training and certification showing you've passed the courses.
- Prefer 25 years old and up.
- Clean driving record.
- No history of DUI or impaired driving violations.
- No more than one moving violation in the past three years.
- No more than one accident in the past three years.
- No criminal history.

CDL Driver Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and efficient CDL driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina able to withstand long hours on the road. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is a must.
CDL Truck Driver Job Duties and Responsibilities
Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle
Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
Ensure contents are properly secured in the vehicle to prevent damage/injury
Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries
Assist in mapping driving routes
Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery
Communicate with dispatch as needed
Confirm that the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document
Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
Track and report working hours
Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions
Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
CDL Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required
2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred
Clean driving record with no moving violations
Must pass a background check and drug test
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
An innate sense of direction
Self-starter who works well independently
Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
