Full Job Description

POSITION: Custodian

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS (include but not limited to the following):

High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge of custodial practices.
Skill in operating cleaning and other equipment, and their procedures
Familiarity with and ability to utilize hand and power tools.
Familiarity with the proper use of chemicals.
Ability to work on ladders or elevated platforms not to exceed 10' in height.
Ability to engage others with understanding and empathy.
Must be flexible with a positive attitude.
Routinely able to lift 50 lbs.

DUTIES (include but not limited to the following):

Housekeeping, custodial care and cleaning of building
Maintenance of grounds
General maintenance of building
Electrical, plumbing and carpentry maintenance
Report need for equipment or physical plant repairs.
Check stock, supplies and keep record as needed.
Perform other duties as described in the position description

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
WORK DAYS/HOURS: Monday Friday 3:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m

SALARY: As Per Schedule

In addition to the requirements listed above, the following qualifications shall be considered in evaluating an applicant for possible employment for this position: an applicant's varied work-experience; one's training and/or education; and, one's adaptability to work with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities. Maintain valid driver's license in state of residence and maintain a clean driving abstract.
