Job Overview

Savannah Joe’s is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As one of the first and last people our guests interact with, our cashiers play an important role in creating the welcoming experience Savannah Joe’s is known for.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, communicates well with customers and team members, and can accurately manage orders and payments while providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
Accurately take dine-in, carryout, and pickup orders
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process cash, credit, and digital payments
Answer customer questions regarding menu items, pricing, and availability
Confirm orders for accuracy before they are given to customers
Coordinate with kitchen staff to help ensure timely order preparation
Answer incoming restaurant phone calls and assist with customer orders and questions
Maintain a clean, organized front counter and customer service area
Restock necessary front-of-house supplies
Assist with opening and closing responsibilities as assigned
Follow restaurant policies, food safety practices, and sanitation standards
Support other team members during busy service periods

Qualifications

Previous cashier, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to accurately handle cash and electronic payments
Comfortable learning and operating a POS system
Dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts
Ability to remain professional and organized during high-volume periods
Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Availability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled
