Veterinary Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities: Client Service & Front Desk Support
- Welcome clients and patients with professionalism and compassion
- Answer phones, emails, and client messages
- Schedule veterinary appointments accurately and efficiently
- Educate clients on hospital services, wellness care, and basic veterinary information
- Process invoices, payments, and client transactions
- Assist with prescription refill requests and client communication
- Support daily veterinary hospital front desk operations
Veterinary Assistant & Patient Care Support
- Assist veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians with patient handling and restraint
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
- Assist with hospitalized patient care and surgical patient monitoring
- Prepare laboratory samples and assist with diagnostics
- Administer medications and vaccines under veterinary supervision
- Support pharmacy, treatment, and patient workflow
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient veterinary hospital environment
- Assist with bathing, drying, and grooming support as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of veterinary experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy veterinary hospital environment
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork mentality
- Compassionate and dependable work ethic
- Comfortable working with animals of all sizes
- Basic computer and veterinary software experience preferred
- Must be able to commute to or relocate to Canisteo, NY before starting
Compensation & BenefitsPay
$17.00 – $18.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
