Full Job Description

Job Summary

Perform laboratory testing and analysis of construction materials, including soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates, to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. Ensure accurate testing, documentation, equipment maintenance, and adherence to laboratory safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform laboratory testing in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and applicable specifications.
Prepare, handle, and test material samples while maintaining accurate records of results.
Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
Prepare test reports and communicate results to engineering and project staff.
Maintain laboratory organization, quality control procedures, and inventory of testing supplies.
Follow all company safety policies and applicable environmental regulations.
Perform field sampling and testing

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience in construction materials testing or laboratory operations preferred.
Knowledge of construction materials testing standards and quality control practices.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with basic computer applications.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in both laboratory and field environments.
