Full Job Description

C H Powell and it’s Tandem Global Logistics division is a dynamic global Customs and freight forwarding organization. Privately held, CH Powell offers opportunities for growth in the Customs Brokerage or freight forwarding fields. With 10+ offices around the United States, opportunity for re-location is available if desired.

The headquarters of CH Powell is in Canton MA and is presently looking to fill the following position:

Entry Writer

Process documents through the Company’s ABI system, obtaining Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate

Arrange delivery (as required) and invoicing of shipment for services rendered

Review and monitor all Customs rejections, requests for information for clients and any other government agency, and other correspondence.

Impeccable and timely customer service with limited supervision inclusive of on time response to inquiries, distribution of information regarding clearance and OGA status and referral to next level management when needed

Communicate with clients, coworkers and supervisors in a clear, concise and timely manner

Coordinate with various departments and maintain compliance with all import operations.

We are looking for someone who is willing to be trained in this role and who may have previous business experience.

To be successful, the candidate must demonstrate:

Ability to multitask
A strong attention to detail
The ability to handles pressure & deadlines
Strong communication written and oral.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
