Full Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Assistant Manager of our Gordon Biersch Restaurant.

Gordon Biersch is a renowned name in the restaurant and craft beer industry. Our commitment to brewing authentic German-style lagers and serving delectable, chef-inspired dishes has earned us a loyal customer base. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations. You will play a key role in maintaining our high standards for food and beverage quality, customer service, and overall guest experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in restaurant management, a passion for the culinary and craft beer industry, and exceptional leadership and organizational skills. Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Assist the General Manager in leading, motivate, and develop a team of dedicated restaurant staff, ensuring a positive work environment and exceptional customer service.
Operational Excellence: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including managing inventory, food quality, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards during your shift.
Financial Management: Assist in Managing the restaurant's budget, control costs, and maximize profitability while achieving revenue targets.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by monitoring and improving service quality, responding to customer feedback, and resolving issues promptly.
Training and Development: Recruit, train, and develop a strong team of employees, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
Compliance: Ensure the restaurant complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.

Qualifications:

Proven management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Passion for craft beer and a dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience.
