Medical Bill Processor
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:30-5:00; Friday 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Work Week: 38 hours paid as 40
Work Location: This position is primarily on-site, but employees must have a dedicated space at home for a remote work set-up to be used on an as-needed basis.

Liberty HealthShare is seeking a detail‑oriented Medical Bill Processor to join our fast‑paced Medical Bill Processing team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in protecting our members’ share power by ensuring medical expenses are reviewed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with our Sharing Guidelines. What You’ll Do
- Process medical expenses with accuracy using Liberty HealthShare Sharing Guidelines, job aids, and training materials.
- Verify key information including member/patient details, provider data, ICD‑10 diagnosis codes, CPT codes, dates of service, pricing, eligibility, and Annual Unshared Amount (AUA).
- Review processing queues daily, including Audit, SME, and EDI communications.
- Meet department standards for quality and production.
- Support special projects and collaborate with teams across Liberty HealthShare.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficiency with computers and data entry
- Knowledge of medical terminology (education or experience)
- Medical billing or medical office training
- Ability to navigate proprietary software
Preferred Experience
- Medical billing and coding
- Medical bill/claim adjudication
- Microsoft Excel and Access
Education
- Required: High School diploma or GED
- Preferred: Medical terminology coursework; Medical Billing & Coding certificate
