Pay

The starting hourly wage for this role is $28/hr.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, OT as needed

1 st shift: 5:30am – 2:30/3pm.

2 nd shift: 2:30pm – midnight

Job Overview

Responsible for planning, organizing, directing the production activities and employee training and development to cost effectively produce a high quality finished product.

Support the RMP (Risk Management Process) by helping develop/maintain standards and driving corrective actions to closure.
Drive continuous improvement by gathering ideas from the line and implementing better methods.
Coordinate daily line/area operations to meet or exceed safety, quality, sanitation/food safety, and productivity targets.
Lead the team through meetings, training, coaching, cross-training, and performance management (goals, evaluations).
Ensure compliance with Heinz safety standards and all applicable process/product/food safety requirements; maintain a safe workplace.
Manage staffing and labor costs, and ensure accurate time/pay records.
Audit production documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Monitor production to confirm the process is executed correctly, identify defects, and initiate corrective actions.
Respond to emergencies and changing conditions, making timely decisions and escalating/recommending actions as needed.
Maintain working knowledge of equipment setup/operation/adjustments, and help create/update required documentation (e.g., SOWI, JSA).

Minimum Qualifications:

Prepare routine reports and correspondence.
Apply common-sense judgment to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions.
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and inventory systems.
Strong planning/organizing, problem-solving, math, and communication (written/verbal) skills.
Effective working with all employee levels; strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of equipment/tools operations and general computer use.
Ability to enforce rules, policies, and agreements.
Demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, high-quality work, and strong cross-department collaboration.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

Ability to use hands/arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.

Ability to work in all areas of the facility including hot and cold areas, and be exposed to wet and humid conditions.

Must be able to lift and or move up to 50 lbs or more.

Must have excellent vision, distant and peripheral, with the ability to identify and distinguish colors, and adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually high, and ear protection is required.

May work near moving mechanical parts, high and/or confining place
