Full Job Description

Product Compliance Manager Position Summary

The Product Compliance Manager leads product compliance governance. This role requires hands‑on regulatory expertise and is responsible for product compliance, regulatory documentation, and quality alignment throughout the product lifecycle. The position partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations to ensure compliant, high‑quality products are designed, produced, and released to market.

Key Responsibilities

· Own USA, Canada, and EU product compliance strategy across manufactured product lines, including CE Marking, EU GPSR, REACH, RoHS, EMC, LVD, and applicable harmonized standards

· Ensure regulatory compliance is embedded into product design, manufacturing processes, and change control

· Oversee creation, accuracy, and maintenance of Technical Documentation, Declarations of Conformity (DoC), and compliance files

· Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact to products, manufacturing processes, and quality systems

· Serve as the primary regulatory subject‑matter expert supporting audits, inspections, and customer inquiries

· Ensure compliance requirements align with and support ISO‑based Quality Management Systems

· Drive a culture of quality, compliance, and risk‑based decision making across manufacturing operations

· Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure compliance requirements are met at the factory level

· Support supplier compliance programs, including material declarations, conformity evidence, and quality requirements

· Participate in risk analysis, nonconformance investigations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)

· Support new product introductions (NPI), production changes, and continuous improvement initiatives

· Manage relationships with Notified Bodies, third‑party test labs, and external regulatory consultants

· Coordinate testing, assessments, and conformity evaluations as required for EU market access

· Respond to regulatory inquiries, audits, and customer compliance requests

· International and domestic travel up to 10% required

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, regulatory affairs, or related technical discipline. 7+ years of experience in product compliance and/or quality within a manufacturing environment

· Demonstrated expertise in EU regulatory compliance and CE marking for manufactured products

· Experience integrating regulatory requirements into manufacturing and quality systems

· Strong documentation, organizational, and regulatory interpretation skills

· Experience with industrial, electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical products

· Familiarity with PLM, ERP, or change management systems

· Prior involvement in factory audits, supplier audits, or regulatory inspections
