Licensed Esthetician — Independent Contractor
Kalón By Kiesha | Integrative Skin Healthcare & Wellness Practice
Join a Practice Advancing Skin Health Through Every Layer
At Kalón By Kiesha, skin health is where care begins, not where it ends.
We are seeking a Licensed Esthetician who wants to practice beyond the traditional service-based esthetics model and become part of an evolving, integrative approach to skin health and whole-person wellness.
Kalón By Kiesha serves as the skin-health entry point within our broader philosophy of care. Through The Inner Echelōn™, we are developing a continuum of care that begins with professional skin health and extends into the broader factors that influence how clients look, feel, function, restore, and reconnect with themselves.
For the right esthetician, this is an opportunity to do more than perform treatments. It is an opportunity to help clients better understand their skin, recognize the factors influencing it, establish sustainable care practices, and progress through a personalized skin and wellness journey.
We are looking for a practitioner who is curious, clinically minded, compassionate, committed to continued learning, and interested in helping move the esthetics profession forward.
Our Approach: From Skin Health to Whole-Person Wellness
Our philosophy recognizes that skin does not function independently from the person living within it.
Skin health can be influenced by stress, lifestyle, environment, behaviors, self-perception, aging, hormonal changes, nutrition, and other internal and external factors. For this reason, our approach extends beyond treating what is visible on the surface.
Our practice is informed by psychodermatology and the skin–mind connection, while remaining firmly within the professional scope of esthetic practice.
We combine professional esthetic care, client education, individualized treatment planning, restorative experiences, home-care guidance, and collaboration with other wellness professionals when appropriate.
This is what our continuum of care represents:
Skin Health → Awareness → Education → Restoration → Sustainable Self-Care → Whole-Person Wellness
The name Kalón comes from the Greek concept kalon, associated with beauty, goodness, nobility, and that which is admirable or excellent.
For our practice, Beauty That Is More Than Skin Deep reflects our belief that beauty extends beyond physical appearance and is shaped by the connection between skin health, self-perception, well-being, and the whole person.
We help clients pursue healthy skin while also creating an environment where they can experience rest, reflection, restoration, education, and greater connection to themselves.
Our work begins at the surface, but our care considers the person behind the skin.
Your Role in the Continuum of Care
As a Licensed Esthetician at Kalón By Kiesha, you will serve as an important entry point into the client's broader care journey.
You will:
- Provide personalized esthetic services based on individual skin conditions, concerns, goals, and contraindications.
- Conduct comprehensive skin analyses and consultations.
- Develop individualized treatment and home-care recommendations.
- Educate clients about their skin rather than simply performing services.
- Help clients understand lifestyle, environmental, behavioral, and stress-related factors that may influence their skin.
- Create restorative treatment experiences that support relaxation and mindful self-care.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies appropriately.
- Recognize when a client's needs extend beyond esthetic scope and appropriately recommend or refer to other qualified professionals.
- Collaborate with other esthetics and wellness practitioners as our multidisciplinary model continues to expand.
- Help clients progress through a sustainable skin-health journey rather than focusing solely on individual appointments.
Professional Esthetic Services
Depending upon licensure, competency, training, and scope of practice, services may include:
- Customized facial treatments
- Comprehensive skin analysis
- LED light therapy
- Dermaplaning
- Microdermabrasion
- High-frequency treatments
- Chemical exfoliation and professional peels
- Targeted eye, neck, and décolleté treatments
- Corrective and restorative skin treatments
- Skin-health education
- Professional product and home-care recommendations
- Other approved non-invasive esthetic modalities
All services must be performed in accordance with Ohio scope-of-practice requirements, manufacturer protocols, professional standards, and Kalón By Kiesha policies and treatment protocols.
What We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in an esthetician who does not view esthetics simply as performing a menu of services.
Our ideal practitioner:
- Holds a valid Ohio Esthetician or Advanced Esthetician license.
- Demonstrates a genuine interest in skin health and individualized client care.
- Understands or wants to learn more about psychodermatology and the skin–mind connection.
- Values an integrative approach to wellness.
- Is comfortable educating clients and explaining the “why” behind recommendations.
- Demonstrates strong consultation and listening skills.
- Understands professional boundaries and scope of practice.
- Values documentation, treatment planning, sanitation, safety, and clinical consistency.
- Is receptive to collaboration with professionals from other disciplines.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, compassion, and accountability.
- Is committed to continuing education and professional development.
- Wants to contribute to the continued advancement of the esthetics profession.
Experience: three or more years of professional esthetics experience is preferred; however, emerging professionals with a strong foundation in professional esthetic practice, professionalism, and demonstrated potential are encouraged to apply.
More Than a Treatment Room
As Kalón By Kiesha grows, so does our multidisciplinary model.
Our vision includes collaboration among massage therapists, nutrition professionals, behavioral-health professionals, wellness practitioners, and other appropriately licensed or credentialed providers.
Each discipline maintains its own professional scope while contributing to a larger client experience.
That distinction is important.
We are not asking an esthetician to become a nutritionist, therapist, or healthcare provider. We are building an environment in which practitioners understand how their discipline contributes to the client's broader wellness journey and know when collaboration or referral creates better care.
