Provide nursing coverage across multiple schools as a Permanent Float Nurse
Serve public, private, and charter schools
Support clinics when regular nurses are absent or when additional coverage is needed
Guaranteed 7 hours of pay per day
Consistent daytime schedule aligned with school hours
Travel within assigned service area (up to 35 miles)
As a School-Based Float Nurse, you help ensure students across multiple schools have access to safe and responsive healthcare throughout the school day.
Your support allows schools to maintain healthy learning environments so students can stay focused on learning.
Provide nursing care and health support to students in school settings
Assess student health needs and implement appropriate nursing interventions
Administer medications and monitor student health conditions
Support communicable disease prevention and school health protocols
Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
Maintain accurate health records and documentation
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines
Active Ohio RN License (Required)
Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality standards
Pediatric or school health experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of medication administration and communicable disease prevention
Current BLS or CPR/First Aid Certification
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
Strong organizational and communication skills
Willingness to travel to schools within assigned coverage area (up to 35 miles)
