SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, benefits administration, and culture development. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and a key partner across the organization. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and eager to shape HR operations in a fast-growing financial services environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Talent Acquisition and Staffing
- Partner with department leaders to identify hiring needs and forecast workforce planning.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, from posting roles through offer negotiation.
- Build recruitment pipelines to support rapid growth.
- Develop onboarding programs that create a strong first‑year employee experience.
Employee Relations and Culture
- Serve as a confidential resource for employees and provide guidance on HR-related issues.
- Support managers with coaching, conflict resolution, and performance conversations.
- Lead initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement, and retention.
- Drive efforts aligned with company values.
HR Operations and Compliance
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal and state employment laws, especially within financial services.
- Maintain accurate employee files, HR systems, and reporting metrics.
- Lead annual policy reviews, handbook updates, and required training.
- Support audit and regulatory needs related to HR or workforce compliance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Administer employee benefits programs, open enrollment, and vendor relationships.
- Assist with compensation benchmarking and pay structure management.
- Provide guidance to employees on benefit eligibility, enrollment, and changes.
Performance Management and Development
- Manage the performance review process and help leaders create effective development plans.
- Support training efforts, including management development and compliance training.
- Identify skills gaps and recommend training or development paths.
Engage in visible demonstration of senior leadership team member qualities
Demonstrate decisive leadership within line of business to fulfill all job responsibilities and achieve all critical measurements and in all aspects of staff attraction, retention and development. Create a distinguished performance measurement model to ensure all staff maintains awareness of personal and professional standing within MBC, opportunities to contribute to team goals and achieve personal advancement, recognition and reward. Address staff development requirements with clear and documented communications, improvement plans, and celebrate successes with appropriate reward and recognition.
Proactively engage in industry events and maintain awareness of industry news and happenings through monitoring trade publications, regulatory websites and communications, etc.
Engage in business community or social community efforts to reinforce image of MBC or credit unions. The company will support activities with reasonable time and money.
Represent MBC leadership team at internal and external events, specifically seeking out dialogue and interactions with attendees in order to expand MBC’s senior leadership touch points.
Create known personal brand within industry through discussions with examiners, peer organizations, trade organizations, service companies, vendors, credit unions and through participation in media and public relations opportunities. Develop peer and resource relationships to allow expanded personal and company capabilities.
Proactively contribute within MBC beyond respective line of business responsibility through demonstration of leadership and personal action.
Engage directly and as senior manager in more complex areas of responsibility to both develop less-senior staff capability and to promote MBC depth and attentiveness.
SUCCESS MEASUREMENTS:
Success in this position is primarily measured as the timeliness and reliability of the services rendered, with particular attention on the proactivity of personal initiative to achieve favorable compliance results and maintain resource availability.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three years of progressive HR experience, ideally in financial services, lending, banking, or another regulated industry. Strong understanding of employment laws and HR compliance practices. Proven ability to manage recruiting, employee relations, and HR operations of technology, business intelligence or related work experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before members or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

*MBC operates within a flex time environment, allowing reasonable employee discretion in start and end times. Certain functions may be supported from a work at home environment as agreed to by the MBC president.
Pay: $84,000.00 - $106,000.00 per year
