Full Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage all financial transactions for various client businesses. Accountant responsibilities include posting transaction to the general ledger, reconciling bank statements, preparation of payroll and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

Proficient in QuickBooks (Desktop & On-line) and Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

Manage all accounting transactions for various clients
Prepare budget forecasts
Publish financial statements in time
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely payroll tax payments
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Comply with financial policies and regulations

Skills

Work experience in an Accountant and or Tax Preparer
Hands-on experience with accounting software specifically QuickBooks On-Line
Advanced MS Excel skills i
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree helpful, but not required
Additional certifications are a plus, such as QuickBooks Certifications or Certified Bookkeeper
