Full Job Description

Director of Finance

Northeast Professional Home Care is seeking a full-time Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of our growing home health and home care organization. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on financial leader who thrives in healthcare environments and is passionate about supporting high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The Director of Finance will oversee all financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting, and compliance while serving as a key advisor to the executive team. This leader will help drive financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead financial planning and analysis, including annual budgets and forecasts
Oversee accounting operations and timely financial reporting
Develop financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations
Monitor financial risk and maintain strong internal controls
Prepare internal and external financial statements and reports
Analyze trends and performance metrics to support leadership decisions
Optimize financial systems, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
Minimum 3 years of financial leadership experience in home health, home care, or healthcare revenue cycle management
Hands-on experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer reimbursement models
Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow
Strong knowledge of healthcare financial compliance and audit readiness
Proven ability to lead finance teams and partner with executive leadership

Preferred

CPA, MBA, or similar advanced credential
Experience with home health billing, revenue cycle, or PDGM/PDGM-like payment models
Experience working with multi-branch or multi-entity healthcare organizations
Experience with healthcare financial software and EMR-integrated billing systems
