Full Job Description

Office Manager
We are currently seeking well-qualified candidates for a take-charge Office Manager position in a 1-person office to oversee the daily office and administrative operations for a manufacturing company in Akron.

In this position, you will ensure the office runs smoothly and professionally by managing company-wide administrative and management tasks, including managing day-to-day financial records, the procurement process, and HR operations.

Hours:

7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday - Friday

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00+/hour, based on experience and capabilities

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day office operations and procedures including managing office supplies and equipment, maintaining office files and records, and managing office budget and expenses
Ensure office policies and procedures are followed, manage documentation and procedural activities including ensuring each department manager follows proper protocol and documentation.
Handle bookkeeping, invoice processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable,
Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments)
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, track and categorize expenses
Process payroll, time-off tracking, and manage employee expense reports,
Prepare monthly financial reports and month-end closing
Process purchase orders and requisitions, maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and inventory
Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery, resolve invoice discrepancies and issues with suppliers
Assist with inventory control and stock level monitoring
Support HR tasks such as onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records
Handle employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures
Work with proprietary accounting, purchasing, production and record-retention software

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of office management, prefer operations management experience as well
Must have experience running office operations in a manufacturing or production environment
Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, office management software or tools and accounting software. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) is preferred
1–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience with knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management
Familiarity with purchasing best practices and basic contract terms
Knowledge of basic employment laws and HR best practices
Ability to review, reject and correct documentation and procedural activities by department managers
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
