Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our culinary team with passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality, safety, and service. Your leadership will inspire creativity, uphold high standards, and foster a collaborative environment that drives excellence in every dish served. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our culinary offerings while maintaining efficient kitchen management and team supervision.

Duties

Lead and manage the entire kitchen team, including line cooks, and support staff, to ensure smooth daily operations
Develop and implement innovative menu plans that reflect current culinary trends and meet guest expectations
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality standards are met at all times
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitizing procedures and hygiene regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment
Manage inventory control and food production supplies to optimize costs while minimizing waste
Supervise catering events and banquet services, coordinating with event planners to deliver memorable culinary experiences
Implement effective shift management strategies to ensure adequate staffing levels and operational efficiency
Enforce food handling protocols and safety standards across all kitchen activities
Monitor food service operations to uphold hospitality excellence and guest satisfaction
Conduct regular training sessions on food safety, sanitation, cooking techniques, and customer service for staff development

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in a fast-paced culinary environment with a focus on team management and leadership
Extensive banquet experience coupled with fine dining expertise to elevate guest experiences
Strong background in food production, catering, restaurant management, and menu planning within the food industry
Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and food safety sanitizing procedures
Hands-on experience in food handling, cooking techniques, and kitchen management across diverse culinary settings
Prior experience managing large teams in hospitality or restaurant environments with a focus on service excellence
Familiarity with dietary department practices and catering for special dietary needs is preferred
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
