The Event Planner, Camps & Conferences plans, coordinates, and executes university events, summer camps and conferences. The position collaborates with university departments, external clients, campus partners, and service providers to plan and execute events, camps, and conferences.

Job Description
Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Plans university, community, and summer camp events in compliance with university regulations, policies, and procedures.

Assists customers with catering, technology, parking, security and setups while utilizing university space most effectively. Routes reservation requests to facility use custodians as required.

Collaborates with a wide variety of campus constituents and outside organizations to coordinate event logistics.

Monitors campus events for compliance and implements University policy with regard to the Use of University Facilities, Postings and Solicitation on Campus, Consumption of Alcohol on Campus, Animals on Campus, and Public Expression on Campus.

Assists with the coordination of summer camps and conferences utilizing the One Stop Shop business model.

Prepares and executes Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Facility Use Agreements (FUAs) for Campus Reservations and Campus Conference Programs in accordance with university policies and event classification guidelines.

Reports building safety, security, and maintenance issues to appropriate department.

Participates in weekly coordination meetings with campus service providers to ensure all required services are confirmed and effectively coordinated for campus meetings and events.

Required Qualifications:

This position requires a high school diploma and two years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.

Relevant experience in administrative support or event planning.

Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Hospitality Management or closely related field.

Two years of full-time experience in event coordination and planning in a higher education setting.

Experience with CollegeNET 25Live.
