Full Job Description

Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing general ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements.
Analyze financial data and prepare variance analyses, management reports, and supporting schedules.
Manage cash flow and reconcile bank accounts
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and controls.
Assist with the coordination and completion of internal and external audits.
Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis as needed.
Completion of yearly external cost reporting requirements
Assist in the yearly budget process
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
Assist with tax filings and compliance requirements in coordination with external advisors.
Partner with cross-functional teams to support business decisions with sound financial data.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience a plus.
CPA license a plus.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with financial systems implementation or process automation.
Prior experience supervising or mentoring staff accountants.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
