Full Job Description

The Opportunity

At Chris-Tel Construction, winning the right project begins long before a proposal is submitted. It starts with understanding the client’s vision, identifying the right solution, and bringing the right people together.

We’re seeking a Director of Client Solutions to lead strategic pursuits for negotiated commercial construction opportunities. You’ll engage clients and industry partners during the earliest stages of project development, shape tailored pursuit strategies, and guide opportunities from initial conversation through contract award.

What You’ll Do

Identify emerging project opportunities through relationships with developers, architects, engineers, attorneys, real estate brokers, land-use planners, bankers, and other industry professionals.
Meet with prospective clients to understand their goals, challenges, priorities, and project requirements.
Serve as a trusted construction advisor during early planning and development.
Lead pursuit strategies for negotiated, CMAR, Design-Build, and Design-Assist opportunities.
Develop customized pursuit plans that align client objectives with Chris-Tel’s capabilities and competitive strengths.
Partner with Executive Leadership to evaluate, qualify, and prioritize opportunities.
Direct the development of proposals, qualifications packages, interview presentations, and other pursuit materials.
Lead interview preparation, presentation strategy, and rehearsal sessions.
Collaborate with Marketing, Preconstruction, Estimating, Operations, and Executive Leadership throughout the pursuit process.
Coordinate a seamless transition from pursuit to preconstruction and operations after award.
Maintain accurate client and opportunity information in HubSpot while tracking pursuit activity, interview results, and win/loss trends.
Represent Chris-Tel at networking events, conferences, industry associations, and community functions.

Who You Are

You have 5–7 years of commercial construction business development experience with a General Contractor.
You have successfully led negotiated construction pursuits from opportunity identification through contract award.
You understand Design-Build, Design-Assist, CMAR, GMP, and negotiated delivery methods.
You have established relationships with professionals who influence early-stage commercial construction opportunities.
You have experience partnering with Preconstruction and Operations throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Microsoft Office proficiency is required; HubSpot or comparable CRM experience is preferred.
You can travel to client meetings, project sites, conferences, and business events, including occasional overnight travel.
